IPL Brand Update: Ultratech to sponsor for Rajasthan Royals


Ultratech has been supporting UP's Ranji Team, now they will be the lead aponsor of RR. Rajasthan Royals other sponsors for this season are : Kingfisher, Boost and Puma.

Another update is the appointment of 'TCS as technology partner'.

PepsiCo ties up with Mumbai Indian, CSK for IPL


PepsiCo has scored a double whammy for the upcoming IPL season after bagging the sponsorship deal for Mumbai Indians and securing the status of official hydration partner of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for its 7UP brand.

Pepsi is extending its brand portfolio, by launching an extension of 7Up- Nimbooz, a lemon drink, to be compete against Coke's Limca.

A special 'Nimbooz Highway Gadi' will be stationed on the major highways connecting New Delhi to Lucknow, Jaipur, Dehradun and Agra, for three months as part of our sampling drive to popularise its taste amongst people

Genelia D'Souza is a Brand Ambassador of Fanta Apple


The drink was initially introduced in the markets of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu in October and December 2008, respectively. Now it is set to be available across the nation, so just ‘Go Bite’ it. The company has also roped in actress Genelia D’Souza as the brand ambassador for the same.

Amongst the first of Fanta's brand ambassadors was actress Rani Mukherji, who was seen in the summer campaigns of 2005 and 2006. South Indian actress, Trisha endorsed Fanta in the summer campaign of 2007. In 2008, the brand's campaign did not feature any brand ambassador.

Coke’s ‘Project Next’ leads to ‘Open Happiness’


Coke is all set to launch a new global marketing campaign “Open Happiness,” The new tagline would replace “The Coke Side of Life,” which is been in use since 2006. This new theme arose from a six-month “Project Next” spearheaded by their chief executive Muhtar Kent and global marketing officer Joe Tripodi.

Pepsi to Kick Off NFL Cola


Pepsi is putting a familiar twist on its core brands. "Pepsi Lemon NFL Kickoff" colas will hit shelves on Aug. 11. The limited-time-only, lemon-flavored soda will be available in both diet and regular until November. A Pepsi rep confirmed the details of the pending launch.
Pepsi is no stranger to lemon-flavored cola. Its Pepsi Twist colas debuted in 2000 and were discontinued two years ago. PepsiCo, as well as Coca-Cola, have shied away from full-time line extensions in favor of a less risky in-and-out strategy.Most recently, PepsiCo has introduced Sierra Mist Undercover Orange (in conjunction with the movie Get Smart). Last year, it trotted out Pepsi Summer Mix, Mountain Dew Game Fuel (tying in with Halo 3) and Sierra Mist Lemon Squeeze.
The new product will endorse the current Pepsi Stuff promotion. Each cap of specially marked Pepsi NFL Kickoff will feature a code worth double Pepsi Stuff points.

Yahoo! has announced a new open Web services platform, Yahoo! Search BOSS (Build Your Own Search Service), which gives third parties access to Yahoo! Search technology, including the ability to re-rank and control the presentation of Web search results.

Yahoo! Search BOSS enables developers and companies to build custom search experiences. BOSS extends Yahoo!’s Open Strategy by giving access to one of the most valuable assets on the Web, the Yahoo! Search infrastructure and technology. This builds on another recent launch of Yahoo!’s SearchMonkey developer platform, which opened up the Yahoo! search results page to allow site owners and developers to create enhanced search results.

Yahoo! provides developers and companies access to its algorithmic search infrastructure without incurring the significant costs required to build Web-scale search experiences. BOSS will offer two options for companies and developers and its custom service offered to select partners with large-scale needs in building and supporting Web search experiences.

BMW GINA Light Visionary Model



BMW just unveiled its latest design philosophy — via a radical concept touted as the "game changer" for the "development of tomorrow's mobility," the new concept centers on the GINA principle, for Geometry and Functions in "N" Adaptions.




The first translation of the GINA philosophy into physical being is demonstrated in the Light Visionary Model concept. The only specs that may be familiar are the car's realistic 8-cylinder powertrain package residing in a roadster built from an aluminum space-frame chassis with two double tailpies and 20-in. alloy wheels at the corners. It is skinned by four large pieces of flexible material that can stretch and contract based on a number of substructures that can move about on the chassis with electro and electrohydraulic controls.








The fabric that covers the Visionary's body is constructed from waterproof and temperature-resistant mesh netting on the outer layer, supported by a flexible metal- wire structure underneath to maintain the skin's tension and smoothness.
